I always document my projects through photography, but sometimes my artistic side takes over and the photos become more art than documentation! Here are some such images.
These shots are of a steel maquette I built for a Space Design course I took recently... The setting sun reverberating all through the arches paired with the heavily textured concrete creates a dreamy landscape.
This is a progress shot of an open skull I skull-pted myself as a study aid for an anatomy course, I loved the way all my work area ended up in the same tonality of rich brown-red in this picture (with the exception of my electric blue work gloves)
My team and I were giving a screenprinting workshop to some homeless youth in the inner city and I was the designated photo documenter. Once it had caught my eye, the particular green of the screen obsessed me for the next hour. This is the photo that best captured its nuances.
An element of a photomontage t-shirt design I was working on as a project proposal; it eventually had the background removed and was turned into black and white illustration, but I still love the playful pinks and blues of the series, as well as the rich texture of my pet skull, Sherrin. You may recognize her from an earlier photo. She lives on my desk as a constant memento of cranial anatomy, and also as my pencil holder.
